Harbin has previous obtained a PE license in 27 states in the country. He anticipates receiving his PE license in the states of Arizona, Florida, and Texas. Harbin obtained a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Mississippi State University and is currently a PE in Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Oregon. Additionally, he is heavily involved in designing an alternate structure for a utility client’s substation design/build, as well as the substation foundation for a large solar project located in West Texas.Īn Athens, Alabama native, Sean Harbin now lives in Richland, Mississippi with his better half, Mary Beth, and they are the proud parents to Elizabeth, Matthew, and an extremely rambunctious and territorial Australian Terrier named, Biscuit. Harbin is currently supporting multiple efforts from the physical layouts and design (General Arrangement, Elevations, Foundations, and Steel Structures) for a solar project located in Southern California, a critical infrastructure facility located in Texas, as well as supporting proposal development for an 20MW/80MW energy storage project for an industrial client. He will be leading and assisting in procurement and site construction efforts on ASSET’s engineer-procure (EP) and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) projects by directing and supporting internal resources and managing the site construction manager. Harbin will be leading and assisting in the development and design of outdoor substations arrangements, foundations, structures, and other miscellaneous project drawings.
As the firm’s first civil engineer, he will spearhead the development and supervision of the growing civil engineering team and will serve as a mentor upcoming engineers and designers. In addition, he will be providing technical support in the development of ASSET proposals, performing construction observations, and will investigate prospective opportunities. Harbin will be supporting ASSET’s projects by providing civil engineering support and project management to develop the project and engineering deliverables that meet scope, schedule, and budget.
